     I have this hopes because are things that I really want to do when I grow up. I´m still thinking in what I want to be but I find interesting working in a company or being a film director. I also think that my english would help me because is a language that is spoken in most parts of the world because almost everybody knows it. Also if I decide to be a film director the theater would be really helpful. I think that attending to a good university is important because in that way you would be recognized for work quickly. Oviously the grades are also important to be an outsanding person.

     I will make them true by studying hard in college. In that way I will have an oportunity to go to a good University when I graduate. The most probable thing is to study film and other carrier. And by having a stable work I would be able to travel to other places. Also I want to help others while traveling so apart from going to see new places I want to help the people with the money I would gain.

Best Friend: 
Like everyone I also have been a friend or best friend and I also had one. In primary nobody knew as my friend and I were the best if we were just the opposite. She was crazy while I was shy. However we always did everything together and we moved in the house of each other. We played, sing, dance and watch movies together. I had really awesome times with her.

Sister
Being responsable and a kind sister has being my job specially when my younger brother born. When he was born I had four years. That´s when my responsability started. As older sister I also have to give my younger brother a great example but oviously in somethings is difficult because he copies me. For example, when I dont like something but he does and I say to my mom I dont like this soup my brother copies me eventhough he likes it.  This is the reason I have to be quite by giving an opinion. In the other hand, I also have a older sister for her I am her little babysister in this case she gives me the example. But now I have grow so I can do things by myself without the help of my sister. As a sister I help my brother and sister to keep a scret from my mom and dad is the job of all brothers and sisters take care of them.

Shy One:
I have being shy for a long time. Now I am less shy and well is part of me. However, I was more shy when I was really young like when I was in Primary but now I am no so shy as before. I was quite and educated and was difficult to talk to others. And the worst thing were the presentations in front of the class or participate. But now I am not so quite, I have change. Now I am not the same as when I was little I no longer get nervous when I have to present something in front of the class. I also talk a lot to my friends.

Decisions That Change My Life

It started out as an ordinary day in primary. The same faces as always and the same people around me. Even though it was my first day in third grade. That´s when I saw my future best friend. I remember that we hate each other before we met in third grade. But with the passage of time we slowly became best friends.

I had attended to the Ballet Ecuatoriano de Cámara for three days but were long and difficult times because of the strict schedule in which I had to attend. I try my best to get there with my mother on time but I always arrive late. In the third class I arrive even more late and enter to another class really fast. In that moment I realized that was going to be difficult for me and my mother and father. Also because apart from all this I didn´t have the enough time to finish homwork. So I would be affected in both school and ballet.

If only I knew how to cook I could make the breakfast for mothers day to my mom and take it to her
room. Also I could cook for myself without the help of my mother or sister and stop depending of them. It would be better in that way they would not worry about me as they do.

My Emotive Life

Dissapointments: when we went to Colombia but my sister forgot the bag with all of our shopping. I was angry because they were the things with more value.

Accomplishments: when I enter to the Ballet Ecuatoriano de Camara. But it was difficult for the time i had to attend. 

Conflicts: When my mom had a health problem. I was so worried and she stay in the hospital for a long time. 

Fear: when thieves raided us in the street. I was in shock. 

Luck: when I get hurt with a nail. Luckily it was not serious. 

Enemies: when I was playing with my brotherbut a dog came out of nowhere. That dog was rabid. 

Gratitude: when my dog cross the street with many cars. Luckily nobody ourage my dog. 

Jealousy: when  my friend became more friend with other girl. And she no longer payed me attention.

Accomplishments: 
For a long time ago I have love ballet so I decided to make an audition to enter to the Ballet Ecuatoriano de Cámara to follow a more profesional way. When I was in Fifth Grade my mom told me if I wanted to continue the danse but this time professionally and I told her that yes that it would be awesome. So my mom and sister help me in the inscription. When the day of the audition arrive I felt nervous because there were too many girls that wanted to enter and from all of them only thirty or less were chosen. After a long wait it was my turn and also of other girls so we all enter to the room which was really big. The teachers that were in charge of watching and then deciding who will enter

were so serius and had loud and strict voices that made me multiply my nerves. When all of this was over and  I had to wait like a week until a response and then go to the Ballet Ecuatoriano de Cámara to see in a board the names of the girls that had enter. My sister, my mom and I were searching for my name and from all of those names we find mine. I was so glad and contented.

Conflicts: 
It was tusday or wednesday when my mom get sick in a sudden. I remember that my brother, grandma, mom and I were watching TV as always in the nights and we were laughing and talking. Then my mom went to her room to see her cellphone but then she couldn´t move because her right side was paralyzed and luckily my father get home from work and then my sister from the university just like two minutes after this happened to my beautiful mother. We all were worried so we get in the car and went to the nearest Hospital to emergencies. My father and sister were told that my mom had a stroke and that if we had arrive ten minutes later then my mom would not longer had be with us. In that moment my mom entered the operating room. At the next day me and my brother went to the hospital my mom was sleeping and everything went well. After this critical time and a long time in the hospital with my mom she was ready to go home with all of us again. Until today my mom continues going to therapy but not as often as before because now she can move her right side of her body and walk with no problems. 

My Story

My life has always been fantastic and comfortable. My family gives me love and joy. Till now the few adventures I have had in my life are the best eventhough I´m still living in a bubble.

The Incident at Long Time Ago

An Occurrence at Owl Greek Bridge by Ambrose Bierce takes place at the U.S Civil War in Alabama in which Peyton Farquhar is hanging at the Owl Greek Bridge and his hands are tied in his back and his neck is tied with a rope. He was at twenty feet below the water and some militaries were standing beside him with different weapons. The cord that was around his neck broke so he fall to the water and the militaries start to shoot at him but they didn´t succeed so Peyton was able to scape into the forest. At the end he was dead at the Owl Greek Bridge with his neck broken.

The imagery used in this story is short but has the details that are need to picture an image in your head, like in the following examples:

"Farquhar dived—dived as deeply as he could. The water roared in his ears like the voice of Niagara, yet he heard the dulled thunder of the volley and, rising again toward the surface, met 
shining bits of metal, singularly flattened, oscillating slowly downward."

The author here is appealing to our sight and sound senses like when he describes the sound of the water as the Niagara which is a loud and strong sound, well I imagine this way. Also he is using our sight senses while describing how the metal looks flouting in the water.

"The man who was engaged in being hanged was apparently about thirty-five years of 
age. He was a civilian, if one might judge from his habit, which was that of a planter. His features were good—a straight nose, firm mouth, broad forehead, from which his long, dark hair was combed straight back, falling behind his ears to the collar of his well-fitting frock coat. He wore a mustache and pointed beard, but no whiskers; his eyes were large and dark gray, and had a kindly expression which one would hardly have expected in one whose neck was in the hemp."

This description about the appareance of the main character make me imaging in my head the way he looks because the words such as "firm mouth" or "Dark hair" are descriptive enough to draw an image in my head. I think that in this passange the author make a great job with imagery.

In the other hand the protagonist which personaly is of someone that values fairness.

“To be hanged and drowned,” he thought, “that is not so bad; but I do not wish to be shot. No; I will not be shot; that is not fair.

This reveals that character is a person that accepts his mistakes as long as his punishments are fair. He is a person that really values fairness. 
 
I like this story because I learn more about that time period in which people were killed hunging from a bridge. I like the way the author describes the main character because is specific and gives an idea of who was he and gives an idea of his appareance. The only thing is that I confused a little at the final because in one part it says he was dreaming and at the end he was death at the Owl Bridge.

The Chills of a Strange Narration

The story called The Tell-Tale Heart writen by Edgar Allan Poe is a strange narration in which a crazy man is telling his feeling towards an old because of his eye. The man lives with an old man and he dont hate him it was the eye that makes him mad because it was similar to the eye of a vultur, dor this reason one day he decided to kill him but actually he want to kill that eye that makes him so angry. Every night at twelve o´clock the man went to the old´s room and watch him sleep but one night he was decided to kill him so he entered to the room but the old man was awake and noticed that someone was in there hiding, but the man with a quickly move take the bedcovers over the old´s head and waited until he died. Suddenly the police came and the man confesed everything and say to the police to pull up the boards in which the dead was hidden.

I like the way Edgar Allan Poe used imagery and makes me understand easily the story and the characters personality, an example is:


"I think it was his eye. His eye was like the eye of a vulture, the eye of one of those terrible birds that watch and wait while an animal dies, and then fall upon the dead body and pulled it to eat it. When the old man looked at me with his vulture eye a cold feeling went up and down my back; even my blood became cold."  

Here Edgar Allan Poe by appealing to the readers sight makes me feel the way the character because his words such as "the eye of a vulture, the eye of one of those terrible birds" makes me picture the eye of the old man and also feel like the character with a cold feeling over my back.

In this story the man wich is the main character has different sides. Has a dark and cruel side but also a sensitive side.

“Die!Die!” The old man gave a loud cry of fear as I fell upon him and held the bedcovers tightly over his head." 

This shows us that the protagonist personality is of someone who does what is proposed in this case was to kill the old man because his eye and is a heartless person with cold personality. However he is not always that cruel and cold.

I pointed at the boards and cried,“Yes! Yes, I killed him. Pull up the boards and you shall see! I killed him. But why does his heart not stop beating?! Why does it not stop!?”

This justifies what I said before that he is not so heartless he is also a person that feels guilty of his actions. 

I really like this story because was really creative and have suspense that is something that I really like about stories. Also the final was unexpected because I thought that it would end he living happy instead of the police knocking his door and he confessing what he just did. 

The Giver 19-23

 The End of a LIfe like This

Jonas was curious of what happens on a release so he wanted to see the release of the little twins that his father was incharge. He was in shocked when he saw that his father was injecting a liquid to the smallest twin and then the little baby die. In that moment Jonas start to cry he didn´t know what to do he was feeling upset. The Giver told him that for that night he was going to stay with him and that they were going to make a plan. The plan was about escaping Jonas was going to escape from the community to find Elsewhere that both, the Giver and Jonas, believe existed. Jonas was ok and agree with this plan even though he will never return back to the community. For some days until everything his prepare the Giver give him all his memories of courage and strength so Jonas can continue his way to Elsewhere. One day at dinner in Jonas house his father was talking about Gabe and that unfortunatly he was going to be release of the community. In that moment Jonas couldn´t let that happen because he loves Gabe so Jonas decided to go with him out of the community. Before the Ceremony, at an early time Jonas was going to escape so nobody see them. He take his father´s bycicle and put Gabe in the sit behind him and ride the fastets he can so when the light of the day was almost going out both had time to hide. The worst part was that airplanes were searching for them and because the pilots could not see colors  they use a heat detector so Jonas resolve the problem by given Gabe and himself cold memories. After a long time the supply that Jonas get for Gabe and for him was decreasing and they finish all the food they had. Even though Jonas continue his way and

they arrive to a place with diverse animals Jonas was surprise because he had only seen some of those animals in the memories given by the Giver. After this Jonas was desesperate because they were starving and now they were freezing and Jonas has given Gabe all of his sunshine memories. They were going downward and he could see lights and start to hear music he was sure it was music but maybe it was only an echo.

Text Responses

"But there were desperate fears building on him now as well. The most relentless of his new fears was that they would starve. Now that they had felt the cultivated fields behind them, it was almost impossible to find food." (172)

Poor Jonas now he is actually feeling the real pain and the real feeling of having fear. I think now Jonas would understand why the community had those rigid ways to ruled because they affect some times very badly the way in which people lived. Also thats the reason why in the community everyday they distribute the food to each dwelling so that nobody feels hunger in their lives. 

"Downward, downward, faster and faster. Suddenly he was aware with certainty and joy that below, ahead, they were waiting him; and that they were waiting, too, for the baby. For the first time, he heard something that he knew to be music. He heard people singing. 

Behind him, across vast distances of space and time, from the place he had left, he thought he heard music too. But perhaps it was only an echo."(179)

OH NOOO!!!! what happen does Jonas died with the little Gabe? They were such my favorite characters but even though they die or found the new place I will always like this book and the final eventhough is disapointing.  I hope they did it and now they had a better live with much choses. 

Conclusions

I think this book has being amazing and I really recomended to everyone because it makes you reflect a lot about how life might be with a community in where your life is like living inside a bubble without any kind of choses. Also I think that choses makes you the person you are even a negative or positive one but is the person you want to be. Another thing is that with love and pain you learn new things like for example that you dont have to trust everyone because they can hurt you and many times those pianful memories makes you stronger in life. Finally, having memories can be helpful because makes you remember about a mistake you had commit so you never again repeat the same mistake and live a happier life. 

The Giver 15-18

Painful Memories

When Jonas go to the Annex The Giver was having a painful and sad memory that was torture him so he said to Jonas that he was going to give him that sad memory and Jonas agreed. This memory was about warfare with a lot of fights and people crying. The Giver feel sorry about it, however is his job. After this Jonas feels that he didn´t want the honor of being the receiver and carrying all of these pain just for his own. He just want to return to his childhood like before. After this the Giver give him his favorite memory that was about Christmas what he really likes about this memory is the love that each member of this family feels to each other. Jonas at first didn´t know about this feeling and word but he liked it and understands it more when the Giver explained to him about love. Also Jonas was surprise about grandparents because he never knew about them because in the Community the old went to the Childless Adults and then to the House of the Old. One day Jonas decided to dont take the pill without anyone knowing so he throw it. It has being 4 weeks since Jonas has not taking his pills and in that day in the speaker has being announce that is an unschedule holiday this means that everyone has a free day. Jonas go with his friends to play but when he found them Jonas didn´t like the game they were playing because was about war and he thinks that is not something to make fun because is something serious and sad. At the next day Jonas and the Giver talk about release and the Giver told him the story of what happened to the last reciever of memories called Rosemary. For Rosemary was very difficult to carry all of those sad and painful memories so  one day she decided for his own to be release so Rosemary apply for her release. Because this reason the Giver and Jonas can not apply for their release because the work of the Giver is to teach Jonas and Jonas couldn´t die because it can be a disaster.

"Who were the old people? Why were they there?" It had puzzled Jonas, seeing them in the room. The Old of the community did not ever leave their special place, the House of the Old, where they were so well cared for and respected. 

"They are called Grandparents." (123)

I think that being with your grandparents is a nice sensation because they are carrying and kind and they buy you what you want even if you dont want them to spend their money in you. But in this community they dont know how carrying and beautiful grandparents can be thats why I think is kind of sad specially because in this place when the kids have grow and are ready to live their own lives they never see again their parents NEVER. 

"Do you love me?"

There was an awkward silence for a moment. Then Father gave a little chuckle. "Jonas. You, of all people. Precision of language, please!"

"What do you mean?" Jonas asked. Amusement was not all what he had anticipated.

"Your father means that you used a very generalized word, so meaningless that is become almost obsolete," his mother explained carefully. 

I am in desagreement that love is meaningless because love is part of life and in your daily life you always receive love  like families, boyfriends or girlfriends and also people give love to animals. So when i read this text I think that is ridiculous and i know that what they want in the community is that people dont make choices but is a meaninfull feeling while you still alife.


Conclusions and Inferences 

I am almost finishing this incredible book but until that I have some inferences of what might be happening in the next chapters. Jonas is not taking his pill that prevents to have stirings so what i think is that maybe he is going to fall inlove with Fiona, Jonas´s best friend. Also a greate probability is that he is going to break apart with Asher because the fights and disagreements they have. However i´m not sure of what other things might happen maybe Jonas is going to be so desesperate that is going to revealed all.
